The Rosy Side of Things

Bleak and cloudy days mixed with lots of rain just equal winter anymore. Seems like we have totally skipped the concept of spring and fall this year. It's gross really. A brief summer and then a super hard winter which makes kind of a miserable year. I've had to occupy myself outside as much as possible. Then of course when it gets too hot and too cold you can't go outside so it's just D:.

There's one thing that has been keeping me going this entire week... the ability to come home and lay in bed at the end of the night. Sounds boring right? So while I have a win under my belt I decided to make a blog post! I also noticed that my favorite band Halestorm came out with their new single, which I'm not a huge fan of I have to admit, but doesn't mean I won't enjoy it. I'll see if I will enjoy the somewhat normal style that this song seems to have. I personally LOVED their last album. That was true artistic beauty to me. Everyone has to change though sometime! It has now come to me taking a super hot bath every day to control how my foot feels. Due to the nature of my work and the fact that a doctors note won't ever do me any good, I am stuck with the almost unbearable pain in my foot. That makes it hard to say yes to more hours when it is offered (and the fact that I need it)and makes me feel horrible and stressed out in the process. Hopefully one day I can find a way to deal with this or get it taken care of, but in the mean time I will just have to warm up a bath and keep at it. The power of positivity is a powerful one, the only issue with it is, you have to believe it. It's hard to train the brain to be positive from whence it was negative/pragmatic. Honestly though, at this point in my life. What do I have left to lose? I might as well get a head start and start blindly trying. The only sad thing about this is that trying isn't simply enough. You have to do.
