The Rosy Side of Things

It's that time of year where we all start to pull out those lists of 'To Do's' and Don'ts for the new year. I'd like to give some word to the wise for this new year as well, please make sure when you make your wish list or something else for the new year, that you set realistic goals for yourself. There are all too many people that set goals for losing weight, or buying something really expensive or something that is in the far future. When in reality, we need to set focus on something ideal for the new year instead of barging ahead, hoping that we can accomplish other things. That being said, my new years resolution is to be happy/relaxed for the year. Which is kind of a huge goal for me to be completely honest with my readers. I tend to be stressed out most of the time, and with medication and other things, I have learned some new ways of coping. Plus now that I have a wedding to plan, I need to learn the art of 'Relaxation'. I'm going to keep things short and sweet today. Today's post is a catalog form! Because I have a vacation coming up and I have been busy with medical issues, I decided to group up all the Lamu Fashion items and put them together as a catalog. The way I am going to format this today, is I will have all the items listed and explained in consecutive order and if anything changes (I.E. Makeup, Hair) then I will list it along with the outfit. All in all, Christmas will be like it should, spending time with family, wishing some were there that can't be and of course, spending time with the ones that you don't see very often. I'm going to let my readers in on one of my secrets today. Did y'all know that I had always wanted to be an ice skater? Mhm. As a young child I used to dance in the living room to Michelle Kwan whenever she would perform her ice skating routines. I remember that my mother mailed Michelle Kwan and I received a picture in the mail that was signed (I'd like to think that she signed it herself and keep that moment special), and used to hang it on my wall. I have a special (sick blogger) post today featuring Kelpie from K-Pie Designs and of course my sweetheart! <3 In this special blog post, I will be keeping it short because right now, all I can think about is my head, on a pillow and sleeping. I normally don't complain about traffic when it comes to holidays, but I feel as if the governor of Louisiana should make I-10 bigger... why am I saying this? Alas, my readers. Turns out I have more than just one kidney stone! I'm crossing my fingers that I am going to make it through as pain free as I can. I sincerely apologize for the lack of blog posts, but if any of you have had kidney stones, you would understand that real life has to come first and you have to rest. I feel that this blog post is somewhat appropriate to the attitudes of the American people towards the weather for the last couple of days. We want to wear some summer clothing, but yet we get smacked in the face by Winter to tell us, "Have some snow, freezing rain, sleet, and other goodies!" The Fluxes: Fighting Crime with Camo Boots and Matching Attire. Coming to a theater near YOU. LOL. I might be just a tad loopy for this blog post, and I apologize early on. Turns out, I have yet another kidney stone (this is the reason this post didn't come out yesterday). If my readers haven't had a kidney stone before, it is basically a stone like substance that builds in your kidneys, then travels through the urethra (while tearing it up, hence the agonizing pain), until it comes out; or sometimes you have to have it surgically removed. Needless to say, this one is better than the last one I had (the day of my 18th birthday I was in the ER with my mother with a 4.4mm kidney stone). Thank God for medication that makes me feel no pain! Anyways... Lamu Fashion has been inspired from the recent movie The Expendables (which is quite a good movie, I'd recommend it), and created her own version of the outfits for male and female! Which means... I got to bribe my sweetheart into letting me use his account for a day! <3 My sweetheart and I are wearing the same clothing so I decided not to write his items down (most of his things are from 05 and not in world anymore), but have no fear, I see me dressing him up in the future!
