The Rosy Side of Things

I'm just itching to be able to jump into the new year! There are so many things coming up in my future, I just simply can't imagine it all happening. I am sure my readers are recovering from their sugar comas, upset stomachs and other varieties of upsets regarding the Christmas cheer. One thing I know for sure is that family comes first, but unfortunately, after a time we grow tired of family in small spaces. Then we ask them to kindly leave and that we will miss them, but really we are relishing the fact that they are temporarily gone. Trust me, I adore my family, but weeks with them get a little tiring and trust me, a little hairy as well once food is consumed at a great rate. Today I am celebrating the fact that the new year is coming upon us and that is cause for celebration! First and foremost, I have an outfit that has just come out from Delirium! Forgive the grainy picture, I had to redo all my settings for second life and my at home computer was being a twat. Today I have some items from the Olala Event Round 4, Shopping for Pie Marathon & the Birds & Bees Hunt! The item for Olala is the cute necklace which is exclusively at Olala! Yay it's collab time with Kelpie :D Both of us decided that we wanted to have some fun at the Arcade, and lets just say we have similar taste when it comes to gachas. We both ended up getting the dresses from the same vendor, but just with different colors. Of course we tried again for the kittens and we both won! So not only do I have some Arcade goodies for my readers today, but I also have these heels from the Olala Event Round 2 (March 1st -20th) and this pose from Something New which can be found at the Black Dot Fair (March 11th - April 4th)! My favorite part about this outfit has to be the dress, without it the picture looks dull and more odd. The dress really sets up the stage for the innocence of the photo. I have been entranced into country lately, guess I am just a little homesick for my father. For my readers that don't already know, I grew up in South Dakota and my father in his own way wanted to protect me from the world by keeping me by country song standards. Plus,  him and my mother played in a Variety band for weddings and bars for some time. Country was and still is a huge part of my life. I would give anything to hear what my dad would think of some of the new style of country songs on the radio today. He'd probably think that country was going to shit. XD Anyways, today's blog post made me feel inspired to create a teenybopper look with freedom attitude. To make all this possible, Lamu Fashion has come out with this cute mini dress that makes any avatar stand out sexily. What I love about this dress is that it is simple, and the ribbon makes the whole thing along with the Madonna shaped breast area. The necklace and wedges that I am wearing are from the Olala Event Round 2! The necklace is not only cute, but keeps this outfit with a touch of innocence. Plus, with this outfit, one kind of needs a different color to pop out as well. The wedges I absolutely LOVE because not only are they made well, but there is a hud that comes with it that you can change the colors/textures of the straps! Talk about options! With this Sugarush skin, it helps give off the innocence vibe plus, this is practically my skin tone in RL. Last but not least, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I do have a small marketplace store from when I wanted to try designing. I decided that I needed some kind of tattoo to finish off this outfit, so I pulled out the eye star tattoo. I think it is adorable because not only is it colorful, but it gives attention to the face in a polite manner. Happy Shopping! <3

There are many ways to give the 'new you' a touch of something different. That 'touch of something different' would have to be a skin for me. I normally stick with one skin per year, then I change it up. Then I decided, why not try out some other skins as well? I might not like it initially, but eventually I might grow to love it. After all, it does take some time until you fall in love with your new look.  Today's whole entire outfit is from the Olala Event! So I don't ramble on in text, I am going to just list the items below with designated links for my readers shopping pleasure. Also, the Olala Event is from February 1st to the 31st. You have a whole MONTH to get these items. Which some of them are only going to be sold exclusively at the Event. Out of the outfit that I put together, I can't help but choose these heels as my favorite item from this blog post. they just stand out and make the whole outfit look rustic and fun while still lounging around.
