I have to hand it to Starset, I wouldn't have had this idea for a blog post if I wasn't listening to one of their songs. Sometimes I listen to songs and I have a movie going along with it, like a daydream but with epic music behind it. Otherwise... a music video I guess. When Halo came on all I could picture was this bad ass woman standing there against the sun/dark with a gun in her hand, ready to defend her loved ones. I've always had this dream that I was some sort of archangel, I know it sounds totally absurd, but I constantly have it. The ability to defend and fight for others especially my loved ones where my loyalty knows no bounds. Sacrificing myself before others can be struck down. Striking down my foes before they can touch others with one flick of my fiery sword... yeah. I'm loca. Anyways.... I'm going to let my readers in on one of my secrets today. Did y'all know that I had always wanted to be an ice skater? Mhm. As a young child I used to dance in the living room to Michelle Kwan whenever she would perform her ice skating routines. Alas, my readers. Turns out I have more than just one kidney stone! I'm crossing my fingers that I am going to make it through as pain free as I can. I sincerely apologize for the lack of blog posts, but if any of you have had kidney stones, you would understand that real life has to come first and you have to rest. I feel that this blog post is somewhat appropriate to the attitudes of the American people towards the weather for the last couple of days. We want to wear some summer clothing, but yet we get smacked in the face by Winter to tell us, "Have some snow, freezing rain, sleet, and other goodies!" I, despite some of the pop songs that are on the radio today, enjoy this particular song by Sia. Even with the beats and other ambiance, it passes a message that others might be hiding their misery. At first, I thought I was looking at a viola *giggles*. Nah, it's a violin I swear! I should know better considering most of my life has been spent playing all of the orchestral instruments. The pictures are a bit different than you'd think, but I wanted them this way, to capture the way a musician really digs deep into their soul to bring out emotion. At least, that was how I played when I was in Chamber, Varsity, College, Honorary, Regular, Symphonic Orchestra (the list goes on but I don't want to seem like I am bragging, I'm just really proud of my music history). It is one of those days to put on something loud, obnoxious, and of course rock out to some classic rock! Hehe. I am glad that I have my finals over with!
