The Rosy Side of Things

I have some important news for my readers. I am taking a leave of absence for the near future. Am I okay? No. Which is hard to admit, but I'm really not. This much needed break is because my levels of stress have reached an astronomical high, and I'm not coping with it the way that I should. I'm done trying to deny that it exists and deluding myself into thinking that I can do this myself and continue on the path I've been on. It wasn't until I was driving home after a four hour shift at work and I realized about three or four times during that very short drive that I couldn't recall how I got there and if I had run lights or anything. It honestly scared me. I've been to the doctors way too many times to count in the last couple of months all due to stress induced infections, sicknesses, fractures and more. Basically my body is screaming for me to give myself a break. If I'm not careful I'm going to really permanently damage myself.

Will I come back? You can bet on it. I just need to focus on me for a bit.

Will you be on SL? Probably not much at all. The way to get a hold of me if you want to would be through my avies FB.

What about your sponsors? I am SO appreciative of them! They are the bread and butter of my blog. We will see if they will take me back after my LOA or if I need to make some new connections. No hard feelings on my part though, I just appreciate the opportunities I was given and I enjoyed them while I had them.

As I am sitting here in a laundromat, I can't help but think of how much stuff I actually do on a day to day basis. I'm not sure if I want the holidays to be over with... or just stay longer. There's always one thing I wanted to do as a child and that was to Ice Skate. Michelle Kwan was my favorite Olympic ice skater to watch, but unfortunately I managed to land on my leg wrong when I was "pow-wowing" in the living room and bam. There went any dreams I had of doing ice skating ever again. So I turned my passion of wanting to ice skate into dancing when other people can't see me. I went outside this morning to take out some trash and clean out my vehicle and I saw the most spectacular sight one could see in winter. The trees were frozen over and it was beautiful. Like an icicle forest. Most people in the winter opt to not be awake this early and go out and about walking to the dumpster, but I chose to. Even though I live in the city right now, it gives me a taste of what it's somewhat like to be out in the mountains with the trees all this way. Most people don't give winter a chance as a beautiful season, but it truly is... minus the black ice, sleet, and freezing rain. Just like any other season, there's always a downfall to it. So as the weather fluctuates and everything thaws, ices over then thaws again.. I am reminded of how animals have to deal with this everyday. If they can do it, surely I can as well.

As the snow comes and goes everyone is panicking for the perfect Christmas gift. I know I do this every year about this time... but honestly. I feel like more people need to hear it. Christmas is about family and reconnecting with loved ones (if you want to make it religious then fine, I just opt out of that). Christmas isn't about who gets the most expensive gift, or the most gifts in total. It's about those that you love spending time with each other. Time is a precious thing and not everyone has that as a commodity. For me, Christmas is exclusive to close friends (who I haven't talked to in awhile), my dog, partner and my mother. I got my camper sized Christmas Tree up and went through all my decorations the other night. As I am typing, my boyfriend and dog are playing on the bed and he's going back and forth while the dog is trying to get him. It is VERY noisy and adorable at the same time. On this snowy, insomnia-ridden morning... I bring my readers something I have been trying to put together for a few days now.
